I think more people need to understand that alone time is a form of self care. There isn’t anything selfish or antisocial about it. Alone time allows for careful introspection and relaxation. It’s not weird to require time alone as recovery from social interaction.

Socialising can be so draining and really take a toll on some of us, unless we have time to recharge. It’s not a personal attack or a way of saying your presence isn’t appreciated.
